Publication
Based on the research and extension activities on ‘Bengal Aromatic Rice’ in West Bengal during last 8-9 years, the scientists associated with the Project compiled the information on history, area and production, plant characteristics, grain quality, uses, production, storage and processing technology, marketing, scope for export, cost of cultivation, etc. of ‘Gobindabhog’, ‘Tulaipanji’and ‘Radhunipagal’ rice and prepared the manuscript of three books (in Bengali) entitled, ‘Gobindabhog Rice: Production, Processing and Marketing’, ‘Tulaipani Rice: Production, Processing and Marketing’ and Radhunipagal Rice: Production, Processing and Marketing’. These three books published by the Directorate of Extension Education B.C.K.V. were officially released by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University as mentioned below, which are now available at Directorate of Extension Education, Mohanpur, Nadia for sale with a price of Rs. 25 / 30 per copy to the farmers and interested persons.
In addition, the RKVY Project of BCKV and UBKV published four leaflets on ‘Gobindabhog’, ‘Tulaipanji’, ‘Radhunipagal’and‘Radhatilak’ and some articles as mentioned below during last 7-8 years.
