Produced about 467 t of seed in 2016-17 of different classes starting from Breeder, Foundation, Certified & TL of different crop like paddy, oilseeds, pulses, potato, jute, elephant foot-yam, turmeric etc.
Developed about 200 bighas of Un-cultivable land to cultivable one, and about 70 bighas of land has been made encroachment free in C-block; D- Block, DSF(C)unit and RRSS Raghunathpur, etc. in last 2(two) years. The process of record of land in the name of BCKV has progressed satisfactorily in RRSS Rahunathpur, where mutation fees has already been deposited to the competent authority.
Developed about 100 bighas of low land into pond in Mondouri, Balindi, Chakdaha, Canning, C-unit, C-block and DSF-D-block with the help of MGNREGA and PPP model where fish production is running successfully.
A MOU has been signed from the end of University authority with IORF to develop the Canning farm as total Organic Farm.
In 2016-17, the Directorate of Farms has deposited about ₹.1.23 crore to the University Coffer from sale proceed.
About 1900 farmers has bought seeds from different farms and about 2750 farmers has visited different farms under this Directorate in 2016-17 only.
