Statistics as a science addressed to extracting information from data has been regarded as one of the useful disciplines in modern times and its application-potential pervades the world of science belonging to other disciplines so as to enrich their contents in terms of value- enhancement. In real-life data emanated from diverse disciplines, not to speak of agricultural science only, being originated through planned experiments conducted in basic science, behavioral science, medical science, plant and animal sciences and also in multitude of data collected through surveys, the role of statistical data-analysis has been proved as an indispensable tool/technology which provides a systematic procedure to mine their embedded features. The formation of the society for application of statistics in agriculture and allied sciences culminates as an inevitability in order to realize the above mission.
