• For consecutive three years at least one student secured master degree admission in IARI. Last year (2017), three students secured admission in IARI and four students earned ICAR-JRFs for their master degree.
• In 2017, one student admitted in IISc (Bengaluru) for pursuing Ph D in the department, Microbiology and Cell biology after completion of M.Sc (Ag) in Genetics and Plant Breeding, from our department.
• During last three years, nine students qualified ICAR-NET in Genetics and Plant Breeding. More than 80% of the existing PhD students qualified ICAR-NET.

1. The students were admitted to premier Institutes of repute for their Master's and Doctoral degree program like IARI, IISc, NIBMG, NIT, IIT, GBPUA&T, CCSUA&T (Hisar), BHU, UAS etc.
2. Placement: National level: 12; State-level: 16 (ADA, Food safety officer, etc.)
